Double Glazed Awning windows
DuoGlass’ awning windows are top-hung and can be adjusted to the desired opening width for maximum safety and security. The outward opening design is perfect for weatherproofing purposes and allow ventilation without impacting internal space.
DuoGlass’ double glazed awning windows are a popular top-hung window that opens outward from the base.
It functions in a similar way that a normal awning window works, but massively outperforms standard windows with its superior noise reduction and insulation qualities, which only comes with double glazing, due to our superior uPVC Frame, and Argon Filled Insulated Glass Units (IGU’s).
The windows feature stainless friction stays (which keeps the window open at your desired amount) with options for additional support arms and restrictors (to limit the maximum opening width for safety or security).
There are a big range of coloured locking handles to match our frames, which provides a great look, but also peace of mind with security and safety.
Strengthened awning hardware is fixed within the profile walls into internally integrated steel reinforcing, making awning-style windows an attractive and safe choice for those who like the traditional looks of hopper windows and the airtight performance of our twin compression awning system. All of our awning windows feature a lockable vent position to enable bathrooms and ensuites to remain secure while allowing airflow as required.
When closed, the combined features of air-tight seals and double glazed technology blocks external air draft and minimises external temperature penetration (i.e. reducing heat and cold penetration through the window, unlike a standard single-paned window).
